This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Bulgarian version is the legally binding text and prevails in case of any discrepancy.

1. Our commitment

We want the blockbooks.org website and the BlockBooks application to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities and older residents. This statement is voluntary: as a small private provider we are not legally required to publish it, but we consider it good practice.

2. Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. We believe this website largely conforms to that standard, with the limitations described below.

3. What we have done

  • semantic structure with headings, landmarks and a skip link to the main content;
  • full keyboard operation and a clearly visible focus indicator;
  • text contrast checked in light and dark themes;
  • responsive design from 360 pixels wide, with no horizontal scrolling and support for text enlargement;
  • respecting the reduced-motion setting;
  • descriptive labels and error messages linked to form fields;
  • correctly declared language on every page;
  • automated accessibility checks on every release, in Bulgarian and English, in light and dark themes.

4. Known limitations

  • Automated checks cannot find every problem; we have not carried out an independent audit with users of assistive technologies.
  • The legal documents are long and contain legal terms that may be hard to understand. On request, we will explain their content in plain words.
  • In the application, the apartment-by-month grid holds a lot of data and requires horizontal scrolling within the table on small screens.
  • Illustrations are decorative and carry no information that is not available in the text.

5. Compatibility

The website has been checked with current versions of Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge) and Safari. It needs no plug-ins, and the main content is available without JavaScript.
