Cookie notice
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Bulgarian version is the legally binding text and prevails in case of any discrepancy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser; browser local storage is a similar technology. The Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act (Article 4a) requires consent for them, except where they are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested.
2. The blockbooks.org website
Without your consent this website sets no cookies; optional tools are described in section 4. The theme follows your device setting. If you choose the light or dark theme with the switch at the top of the page, your browser keeps only that choice in its local storage (entry bb-theme) so that the other pages use it too. The entry stays on your device and is never sent to us; it is removed when you choose “Match device” or clear the site’s data. Without your consent we use no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. The language is set by the page address.
The website is delivered through the Cloudflare network. If it detects suspicious traffic, it may set a temporary, strictly necessary security cookie (for example __cf_bm) to tell people apart from automated attacks. This cookie is not used for tracking.
3. The BlockBooks application
The application at your building’s address (building.blockbooks.org) uses only two strictly necessary cookies:

These cookies are valid only for the specific building’s address and are never shared with other buildings or websites. Browser local storage holds only your chosen language and theme.
4. Your consent
The optional tools below are turned on only after you allow them. On your first visit a panel at the bottom of the page lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Strictly necessary stored values need no consent (Article 4a(4) of the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act) and are always active.

Your choice is kept only on your device, in the browser’s local storage (entry bb-consent: the allowed categories and the date), for 6 months or until we change the list of tools. After that we ask again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; refusing is as easy as agreeing and does not limit your use of the website.
5. How to control them
You can delete or block cookies and stored values in your browser settings. If you block the application’s cookies, you will not be able to sign in. You manage your choice about the website’s optional cookies under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
